We had an electric ice cream maker just like this except ours was white and blue/green. I only remember my parents using it a couple of times. The ice cream was good but not as good as store bought. I'm including a picture of us using the ice cream maker sometime in the late 70's or early 80's.

Great picture!!! Is that you? We never had one of these...we had to wait until winter and make 'welfare' ice cream out of snow, sugar, vanilla and a big ol' wooden spoon. =o)
