Mom had an aluminum cake decorator like this one. It was used often to decorate birthday cakes and my favourite memory is that Mom would give us the bowl of leftover icing and we would use the decorator to squirt it onto crackers and eat it......so good!

my mom still has hers and uses it. i wish i could find one like it, it seems to work much better than the new one i bought to make my son's birthday cakes.
