My mother had a Brownie camera long before I was born, you can barely see it in the photo that she took of herself in the mirror. I remember playing with it when I was small, by that time it had no flash and was never used only as a toy.
We got one of these cameras when I was in high school to replace our 126 camera. The negatives were really small and the picture quality wasn't that great but the built in flash was cool.
This camera took most of my childhood photos and I claimed it as my own when my parents finally got a 35mm camera (by then I was a teenager). I've come a long way since then (see photo website and blog links on the right).
