Clock Radio

The first clock radio I ever saw was one like this. It was white and rather than having light-up numbers, the numbers were on little plastic pieces that flipped over every minute/hour. My older sister owned it and of course I wanted one like it. By the time I was old enough to get my own clock radio these were out of style and the new ones were out.

Record Player

We had an old record player a lot like this one. It was an RCA, I remember the classic picture of a dog sitting next to a gramophone on the inside cover. My parents kept it in the living room as a piece of furniture even though we did not listen to records or the radio very often.....usually only at Christmas. It's featured in a lot of photos, it was one of the best places to get a birthday photo done. That's me on my 2nd birthday.

7-UP Radio

One year my older brother went to the US with my aunt and uncle to help them move back to Newfoundland. He brought us all back little gifts, this was mine. An am radio in the shape of a can of 7-UP. Of course I loved it, it was unique.
