Cassette Tapes

There are a lot of cassette tapes for sale on eBay. I am surprised, I wouldn't have thought there was much demand for them. These are a few of the first tapes I bought when I was a teenager.

Evie Record

We had a couple of Evie records, she had a nice voice and sang contemporary Christian music.

Oh Canada Game

When I was in elementary school every student got one of these games. It was a French-English game that came with a record and a comic book. The comic book told the story of some people who won a lotto ticket and had a magic vehicle that took them on a journey across Canada. The vehicle could fly, go on roads and under water. The record had songs in English and French. I really enjoyed the game and story.

Cassette Tape Recorder

My oldest sister got this one year for Christmas. We all enjoyed talking into it and listening to ourselves. When she moved away from home and left it behind I used it for taping songs off the radio.......come on, admit it, I wasn't the only one who did this, right?

Roy Rogers & Dale Evans Records

We owned all of these Roy Rogers & Dale Evans records but I don't ever remember listening to them. I remember wanting to listen to one of them because their children sang some songs with them on one of the records and I was fascintaed with their children (2 of their daughters were adopted and I thought they were so beautiful). But Mom said the record was scratched and would not play........yet we still kept it in the record box with all the other records (few things were thrown out in our house).

Christmas Record

This was one of the few Christmas records we owned.....Wilf Carter's "Christmas in Canada".

Dick Nolan

This was one of the few records we owned (my parents were not into music). Dick Nolan was a Newfoundland singer and this record included the songs "Aunt Martha's Sheep" and "CN Bus".

7-UP Radio

One year my older brother went to the US with my aunt and uncle to help them move back to Newfoundland. He brought us all back little gifts, this was mine. An am radio in the shape of a can of 7-UP. Of course I loved it, it was unique.

50 Happy Years of Disney Favorites

One year my older brother had a paper route. For Christmas he bought us all really cool gifts, this was mine. There were 2 records and the record case opened up to a booklet with stories about the songs and lots of pictures. I loved it.
