When my sister and I were small we'd play "church" and sing hymns from this hymnbook. I think ours was blue or green.

Lord's Prayer Cross Necklace

My oldest sister had a necklace like this one. In the middle was a tiny window and when you looked inside you could read the Lord's Prayer. I was always fascinated with it.....how could they make printing that tiny I wondered. We were talking about this a few moths ago and my sister said she still has it. That would make it almost 40 years old.

Last Supper Illuminated Picture

One of my aunts had this picture in her home, I don't remember who. There was a light on top that shone down on the painting. Tres tacky, sure glad we didn't have one in our home.

Crochet Bookmarks

I remember having a gold bookmark like the one on the left, my aunt must have crocheted it for me.

"The Rapture"

My parents had this print framed on their bedroom wall. I won't go into all the religious aspects of it. On some mornings my younger brother, sister and I would jump into Mom and Dad's bed after they got up and we'd play "Eye Spy". Finding an obscure item in this print was usually what we did.

Glow in the Dark Praying Girl

I remember having one like this on my dresser, I guess I got it either from my aunt or from Sunday School. I think my sister had one like it and we also had praying hands that glowed in the dark. They didn't glow very brightly or for very long, but I remember holding it under the lamp for a long time then turning off the lights and it would glow a lot brighter then. It had a faint greenish tinge to it when it glowed.

Promises

I remember seeing these at my aunt's house. A little box shaped like a loaf of bread filled with cards that had a bible verse printed on them. The individual verses were referred to as promises.

Marian's Favorite Bible Stories Book

I don't remember what Bible stories were in this book but I do remember that we owned this.

Roy Rogers & Dale Evans Records

We owned all of these Roy Rogers & Dale Evans records but I don't ever remember listening to them. I remember wanting to listen to one of them because their children sang some songs with them on one of the records and I was fascintaed with their children (2 of their daughters were adopted and I thought they were so beautiful). But Mom said the record was scratched and would not play........yet we still kept it in the record box with all the other records (few things were thrown out in our house).

Bible Colouring Book

My sister and I both had this colouring book. It was a big colouring book and since we went to Sunday School we knew all the stories in it and enjoyed colouring them.
